Full details can be found on the Network's blog, if you want to attend this free event, then drop a line to Nick Turner.
The afternoon will start with a look at websites aimed at sports, drawing on the experiences of Robert Hardie, managing editor of Northcliffe Digital Integrated Media, and feature sites such as those aimed at Derby County fans and those who follow Leicester City.
A friend of mine, Simon Wharton of PushON, will also be giving a talk on search engine optimisation and how newspapers can look to get their content up those all important search results.
The event is very much in the style of an open discussion, with the use of an internet connection to highlight features and examples and so letting people share their own insights and observations.
The Digital Editors’ Network meeting coincides with an evening event at UCLan which is hosting a discussion on sports journalism in the digital age, chaired by Charlie Lambert, of the BBC.
If there is anything anyone wants in the presentation, drop me a line. As is usual, I haven't started writing it yet.
I shall have to have a word with Mr Hardie and advise him of the proper order of Midlands clubs with the Mighty Forest clearly belonging at the Apex
