ONE of the real benefits of using blogging software to update a website is that you can write new articles quickly and easily.
From this comes the benefit of creating a readership, who follow and get involved with your site, that ultimately "gets you out there" which can lead to connections and involvement in new projects.
A case in point is, Phil Voice, a friend of mine who I helped with the setting up of a blog driven website for his holiday home in south west France a few years ago.
Perigord Vacance has become a record of his family's work on restoring an old farmhouse, as well as the problems and pitfalls they have crossed to make a success of the business.
Phil actually comes from a landscape gardening background, having sold his business in the UK, but once the French site was up and running he turned his attentions to this interest to create Landscape Juice.
And it is from writing this site that he has become involved in the launch of a new online product for those with green fingers, which has seen his blog become an important part of the marketing plan for Complete Gardens, as Phil explains.
