FORMER North West Enquirer publisher Nick Jaspan is launching a website for the media and creative industries for the North West, the Press Gazette reports.
As yet the site, called How-Do, is not up and running but there is talk of it looking to cover the industry and also hook into the growing number of blogs in the region.
It will be an interesting one to follow and hopefully the site will prove a useful resource.
What do you think a site like this should offer? Please feel free to leave a comment below.
Exciting news if it comes off. Hopefully they will have learnt some lessons from the NW Enquirer. It struck me that their site has a sole resource of Chris Horkan. Lets see if Mr Jaspan gets it right

Hi Simon
Must agree that they need to take lessons from the Enquirer site and that Chris faced a thankless task.
I even put together a bit of a piece about the NW Enquirer site when the newspaper began to wobble:

Also by way of an update there is a holding page for the site at:

All the best

This is potentially great news, and I hope they manage to put something exciting together that includes quite a bit of debate around topical issues. There's a big appetite for this kind of thing in the North West, and our sector sorely needs it.

Hi Jane, must agree it will be interesting to see how the How-Do site employs the new tools of the internet to promote interactivity with both the site and between readers.
All the best, Craig

Very good news to hear *something* has been salvaged from the ashes of the NWE. I await its arrival with interest...

Hi Wordsmithy, will be very interesting to see what is produced and I think it will get plenty of support.
All the best, Craig
