Broadband tops dial-up

FOR the first time the number of people using broadband internet connections in the UK has overtaken those on dial-up.
The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics show that in May 2005, 50.7 per cent of connections were broadband, up from 49.2 per cent the previous month.
Broadband connections grew by 77.7 per cent in the 12 months to May 2005.
