THIS website is a way for me to offer simple hints and tips to small business owners, writers, self-publishers and anyone else interested in getting the best out of the internet.
When I think how long I have had my nose stuck against a computer screen, both at work and at home, well I should be able to write a few words of interest.
And with the arrival of blogs and other methods of reaching out to your audience it is getting easier to use the internet to your advantage.
But I can´t leave my news addiction behind so there will be thoughts and links to developments in the media, especially newspapers and the web.
And for all those writers keen to use the internet to not only establish themselves in their field, but maybe also raise a few pennies, I will keep an eye on self-publishing, blogging and advertising.
To finish off, a little about me. I am a freelance journalist based in south Manchester, in the UK, with a wide range of experience in both daily newspapers, breaking news websites and public relations.
I was editor of the Lancashire Evening Telegraph's website thisislancashire which enjoyed over two million page impressions a month
Previous to this I handled the public relations for the National Computing Centre ensuring coverage in a wide variety of media, including the BBC.
I achieved my journalism qualifications whilst working on the award winning Stockport Express, and prior to this worked for a variety of newspapers and magazines including the Big Issue.
Now I run a variety of websites, many with a bias towards France as I lived there until recently, but have ideas for a number of new sites and projects; just got to get on with them now.
