ONE of the things I am asked quite often is how I set up Typepad to display an opening paragraph and then a link to the rest of the article, just like this.
You can only do the 'continue reading' set-up if you have either the second or third level of Typepad, the Plus and Pro levels.
When you go to write a new post you'll see a link that says Customise the display of this page, click it!
Then in the pop-up window click the radio button alongside Custom and then tick the box with Extended Post, and save.
Your Write a Post page will refresh with a window at the top where you can put your opening paragraph and image, for example.
And then in the second window below you can place the rest of your article.
Once you are happy with what you have written just save as you normally would, and your article will be displayed on your site just as you wish.
Craig this is very helpful! Thanks.
