A SIMPLE way of putting a few pennies in your pocket is to run an auction on eBay or buy something for a bargain price.
If you are new to the service then take your time getting used to how it works by browsing around the eBay site.
Most countries have their own versions and there can be slight differences between each one, but on the whole they work the same.
From my own experiences of using eBay selling audiobooks I have picked up quite a few hints and tips for both buyers and sellers:
1. Use a photograph, one image is free, and make sure it is in focus. If you don’t care neither will potential buyers.
2. A simple About Me page adds credibility to your auctions, a picture is even better and if you have an About Me page put the address on your delivery labels in a small font.
3. When searching for an item to buy, check out misspellings, you may find it cheaper.
4. Look out for closing down sales in high-street shops, cheap products mean good profits for you.
5. PayPal allows you to take cash from buyers worldwide, register today.
6. Use paragraphs in your descriptions, it’s so much easier to read and an old favourite, but still seen, don't write descriptions all in uppercase.
7. Upload your auctions on a Thursday evening and run for ten days. You get two weekends for viewing, and they will finish on a Sunday evening when many people are online.
8. If you are buying check through the sellers Feedback and see what other people have said.
9. A good seller will have a detailed description but if you have any doubts about an item send a question, a pro will reply with an answer within 24 hours.
I use these tips in my own sales and have found that people have often bought more than one audiobook so if you follow these simple steps you may see a boost in your own profits.
